Since 1981, the Cremation Society of Indiana has provided professional and considerate cremation service for all consumers. Through gentle, knowledgeable guidance, we try to educate the public and members to the wide range of options available. The Cremation Society of Indiana offers services as simple as direct cremation or as elaborate as a full visitation and funeral. Our licensed staff is committed to satisfying the unique needs of each person who calls upon us.

The Cremation Society Of Indiana will take responsibility for everything.

• Removal from place of death and shelter of remains at our facility.
• Obtain all necessary permits, authorizations, and documents.
• Notify all necessary parties: Social Security, Veterans Administration, newspapers, doctors, and clergy.
• Provide a wide range of cremation containers, urns, and memorials for selection.
• Perform the cremation, and return the cremains to a survivor or ship them to a cemetery for interment.
• Arrange and conduct a memorial service if so desired.

Thousands of Indiana citizens have joined the society to ensure a simpler, less expensive alternative to traditional funerals. Society members are entitled to a price reduction off the regular cremation cost, and gain the peace of mind knowing their final arrangements will be completed in a dignified, sensible manner. To become a member, call, write, or e-mail us to receive our brochure and registration form. There is a one-time registration fee of $35 or $50 per married couple. Memberships must be in force 180 days prior to death to receive the member discount. After we receive your application and fee we will provide you with a membership card and certificate of membership.

Today, many people are choosing to dispense with the traditional funeral. For those selecting cremation as their form of final disposition we have many options from which to choose. Our basic cremation presently has a cost of $1995, which is discounted $100 to memberships in force at least 6 months. The basic cremation includes:

• Removal from place of death to our facility. (There is an additional transportation charge outside of Marion County)
• Filing for necessary permits, authorizations and documents. and documents.
• Contacting necessary parties.
• Cremation of the deceased
• Prices do NOT include a container for cremation or a container/urn for cremated remains.

Pre-payment freezes the cost of services and protects you from future increases in price due to inflation or other factors. When you pre-pay, all funds are placed in an irrevocable fund in accordance with Indiana state law and are guaranteed, in writing, that our charges will never increase. There are a variety of affordable pre-payment programs that can be designed to meet your special needs.
