State and local laws do not require a casket for cremation. If you want a simple cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering.) The container we provide is an alternative container (fiberboard box).
WE DO NOT OFFER EMBALMING, CASKETS, RENTAL CASKETS OR ANY TYPE OF CREMATION CONTAINERS OTHER THAN AN ALTERNATIVE CONTAINER (FIBERBOARD). SHOULD YOU DESIRE OTHER GOODS OR SERVICES, YOU MAY ARRANGE FOR OR FURNISH THIS MERCHANDISE AND/OR SERVICES WITHOUT OUR CHARGING ANY ADDITIONAL FEES. WE WILL ASSIST YOU IN PROCURING THESE GOODS AND SERVICES, IF REQUESTED. WE DO NOT CHARGE EXTRA FOR ASSISTANCE IN PROCURING OTHER GOODS AND SERVICES.
Alternative containers are combustible and designed for cremation. The purchaser may furnish a container or use the one offered by CSV. Should the purchaser choose to furnish a container, the container furnished by the purchaser must be leak resistant and fully combustible. Any container furnished by the purchaser must be accompanied by a signed "Hold Harmless Agreement".

Urns
CSV requires that all urns provided by purchaser be appropriate for shipping or permanent storage, and that in the case of an adult, it must be a minimum of 210 cubic inches. If an urn or container is not provided for the cremated remains, then the crematory will place the cremated remains in a temporary, cardboard container for hand delivery to the purchaser. There is no additional charge for this container; however, this container is not suitable for mailing or permanent storage.

Keepsake/Momentos Urns (Small urns/accessories that will contain only a portion of the cremated remains. These would be used to seperate the cremated remains into different containers. Usually used if a portion of the cremated remains are going to be permanently retained.)

Urn Vault:
In most areas of the country, state or local laws does not require that you buy a container to surround the urn in the grave. However, some cemeteries require that you have such a container so that the grave will not sink in.
